Family policies

Photos of your child

We ask your written permission before we share any photo of your child, on this site, in newsletters or on social media, and you can change your answer at any time. We never put a child's name with a photo, and the photos on this site are examples until we replace them with our own.

When to keep your child home

A child with a fever, vomiting or a contagious illness stays home until they feel well. If a child gets sick at school, we call the family to pick them up.

Drop-off and pickup

Only the adults you listed when you enrolled may pick up. We ask for ID at the yard gate.

Late pickup

If you will be late, call or text the school. A teacher stays with your child until you arrive. What happens if it repeats is explained when you enroll.

Meals, snacks and allergies

The morning snack is prepared by the duty families. We ask families not to send nuts. If your child has allergies, tell us on the tour; we ask for the details privately once you enroll.

Closures for weather and holidays

We close for holidays and the winter break. With extreme heat, a storm or strong wind, the morning moves indoors, and we message families before they leave home.

Screens and phones

Children don't use screens during the morning. We ask adults to keep their phones put away while they are in the yard.

What to wear and bring

Comfortable clothes that can get dirty, closed shoes, a hat and a change of clothes in the backpack. Sunscreen goes on at home.

Leaving the program

We ask for a month's written notice. You can give it in person or through the form.
